Our Responsibility
- Azad Agro believes in developing a "Shared Value" relationship with our Farmers and the community. We firmly believe that our success is directly linked to their social progress.
- With this in mind, we firstly work with our farmers in improving productivity and quality of the produce. This is done by training them in Crop Management and judicious use of Agri-inputs.
- We also undertake cleaning of their produce at the local level so that their produce can be made accessible to end users bypassing the many layers of middlemen that take away a share of the farmer's profit.
- All of our farmers are small holder farmers and bringing them together in improving their cultivation practices gives them a chance to compete fairly in the marketplace.
- We also spend a great deal of time and effort to study and understand the local needs of the community
- For this purpose, we have set up Azad Agro NGO, a not-for –profit registered company which will focus on addressing the various community related issues.
- Be it cleanliness, access to education, or healthcare, we are there to openly discuss these issues within the community and drive solutions based on the principle of community participation and taking joint ownership
- We also use local talent to creatively find ways of addressing these social issues and bring in a sense of ownership within the community
- By doing this, we hope to prosper along with the community we operate in, through skill training, education, healthcare, value addition to the produce and Procurement of the produce.
- This will be an integral and necessary part of how we do business. We encourage our customers and business associates to become part of this effort and share value enhancement with the community
